We are sad to announce that on April 25, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Betty Black (Cherryville, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bonnie Wright and Edna McSwain Wright; her husband Mark Black, Jr.; her children, Johnny Black and Jackie Ware; and her sisters, Linda Wright and Ruth Cook.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jamie Cain (Joe Ashby) of Cana, VA and Sador Black of Kingsport, TN; her sisters, Jane Willis (Tommy) and Cloe Hovis (Duke); her grandchildren, Stephanie Wellman (Matthew) of Gastonia, John Black IV (Heather) of Cherryville, Morgan Cain of Cana, VA and Maycee Cain of Cana, VA; and her great grandchildren, Holden Wellman, Brooklyn Black, Ava Black, Keara Dills, Aiden Dills, Landon Cain and Ace Cain.
Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, a small graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Mary's Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Terry Champion officiating.
