She was predeceased by: her parents, Dixon Newton and Mamie Moss Newton; her husband Bill Bame; and her siblings, Bennett Newton and Imogene Beam.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Bame (Margaret) of Cherryville, Rev. David Bame (Lisa) of Cherryville and Renee Stroupe (Bobby) of Cherryville; her sister Margaret Beam of Cherryville; and her grandchildren, Stephanie Queen, Benjy Bame, Kristen Falls, Garrett Stroupe, Candace Varela, Timothy Bame and Karen Bame. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Interment will follow at City Memorial Cemetery Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 301 E. First St., Cherryville, NC 28021.
