She was predeceased by: her husband Howard "Howie" Melvin Henkle. She is survived by: her son Richard M. Henkle of Greensboro; her grandsons, Mark Henkle of Charlotte and Andrew Henkle of Charlotte; and her siblings, Mary Lou Troxler (Rockie) and Eugene Perkins (Maxine).
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
