He is survived by: his parent Beatrice Davis Standingdeer; his wife Bernice Taylor Standingdeer; his foster parents, Ray Kinsland and Jerri Kinsland of Cherokee; and his siblings, Robert Standingdeer of Cherokee, Jess Standingdeer of Sylva, Cynthia Standingdeer of Cherokee, Debora Foerst of Cherokee and Dora Robinson of Sylva. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
