He was predeceased by: his parents, William Penland, Sr. and Wanda Sue Penland (Worley); his daughter Kori Addison Penland; and his grandfather Bob Penland. He is survived by: his daughters, Alyson Penland of Cherokee, NC and Kerry Penland of Cherokee, NC; his siblings, Brian Penland of Gaylesville, AL and Rebecca Penland Parker of Liecester, NC; his uncle Don Penland of Monroe, NC; his grandmother Pauline Sharpe Penland of Liecester, NC; and his grandchildren, Wilbur Sequoyah, Lula Sequoyah, Julyssa Sequoyah and Asher Ivey.
