He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Flippo and Mary Sue Hendrix Tipton; and his brothers, Ronald Flippo, Jimmy Flippo and Gerold Flippo.
He is survived by: his sisters, Joyce Jacobs and Betty Jeter; the mother of his children LeAnn Swayney Flippo; his children, Emmitt Lee Floyd Flippo and Anita Nickole Flippo; his stepmother Margarett Flippo; his half-brother Hawk Franklin; his grandchild Sylas Lee-Anthony Waldroup; and his close friend John Allison.
