He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Hicks Sr. and Rachel Long Hicks; and his brother William "Bill" Hicks. He is survived by: his sisters, Bernadean George, Bernadette Taylor and Treva Reed; his significant other Sarah Jane; his children, Mark Hicks (Shannon) and Crystal Hicks-Simpson (Taryl); his grandchildren, Kissie, Siri, Zachary, Jordan and Connor; his great grandchildren, Kason, Westyn, Berklee, Kyric, Remi and Sawyer; and his siblings, Arthur, Steven, Johnny Hicks and Charlotte Saunooke.
