It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lela Lambert Bales (Cherokee, North Carolina), who passed away on December 30, 2018, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jesse Lambert and Cora Bradley Lambert; her son David Jesse Bales; her grandson David Ethan Bales; her siblings, Cleo Gallaway, Eula Sanders, Floy Mathews and Dan Lambert; her children, Gladys Cochran (Dewey, Glenna Cunningham) and Elizabeth Ledford (Roger, Oscar Bales); and her siblings, Tinsa Sanders and Ray Lambert (Betty). She was also cherished by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
