He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Rita Wildcatt, Wilma Panther and Ed Pheasant. He is survived by: his parent Tracy West of Cherokee; his children, John Sherrill, Jr., Marinda Rose Sherrill and Addison Sherrill; his siblings, Dalton, Darius, T'keiah and Dassie; his grandparents, Rose and Joe Welch; his mother Kina Armachain; and his uncle Jerry Sherrill. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
