It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Gayle Wilnoty (Cherokee, North Carolina), who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vaughn Smith and Malinda Smith-Mahan; and her husband Loranzo Wilnoty. She is survived by: her children, Ashley Smith, Ashford Smith and Thomas Wilnoty; her grandchildren, Malakai Fourkiller-Raby, Maria Fourkiller-Raby, Isabella Fourkiller-Raby, Kaizer Smith, Thaydon Murphy and Mary Murphy; her sisters, Sandra Smith, Frances Smith and Deborah Smith; and also Laranzo Wilnoty.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Long House Funeral Home (407 Wolftown Road, Cherokee, NC 28719). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
