He is survived by: his wife Murrial Rogers; his daughter Vivian Johnson (Chris) of Murphy; his brothers, Gary Welch of Marble and Bobby Welch of Marble; his grandchildren, Holly Ellington and Josh Hughes; and his great grandchildren, Stella, Jovie, Mila Kate and Hoke Ellington.
