He was predeceased by: his parents, Crede Reid and Mamie Floyd Reid; his wife Louise Stephens Reid; and his siblings, Nancy Henderson and Clyde Reid.

He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Reid (Robert); his brothers, Louis Reid and Bill Reid; and his grandsons, Trevor Reid and Evan Reid.
