It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gavin Groenewold of Cherokee, North Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Matthew Groenewold; his uncles, Ray and Benny Winchester; his grandfather Norman Leroy Winchester; and his great-grandparent Cecelia Smith.
He is survived by: his parents, Benjamin Groenewold, II and Leona Winchester Groenewold; his brother Jasper Groenewold (Kele); his grandparents, Lucille Smith Winchester, Carmen Risillo Perez and Benjamin Groenewold; and his aunt Ruby Dobbins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
