It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy W. Dockery of Cherokee, North Carolina, who passed away on August 1, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carter Worley and Edith Coleman Worley; her husband Edward Dockery, Jr.; her sister Dora Lee Worley; and her close friend Frank Dockery.
She is survived by: her daughters, Doris Smith, Joyce English (Jim), Wanda Dockery (Maxey), Ruth Dockery (Mark) and Mary Murphy (David); her siblings, Floyd Worley (Mollie), Alice Martin and Mabel Hall; her grandchildren, Jaiden (Faith Murphy), Caleb (Krysta English), Gavin English, Levi (Hannah English), Jessica (Zack Smith), Adam (Kerri Garrett), Kenneth (Hope Dockery), Rachael Hopen and Candace Dockery (Scarlett Dockery); and her great grandchildren, Kyndle, Kade, Kynadee, Asher, Abigaile, Luke, Leah, Lydia, Kaylyn and Madison. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren but loved her children.
