Corena Carringer Obituary
We bid farewell to Corena Carringer of Cherokee, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 12, 2025 at the age of 86. Corena touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Simms and Frances Simms; her husband Ralph William Carringer; her son Jimmy Carringer; her granddaughter Julia Bennett Postell; her great grandchild Ryalee Welch; and her sons-in-law, John Horton and Jeff Bennett.
She is survived by: her daughters, Doris Campbell (Jeff), Sandra Horton and Michelle Bennett; her sister Ginny Landon; her grandchildren, Jennifer Wood, Crystal Lovingood (Jonathan), Keisha Borden (Sean), Cory Carringer and Samantha Bennett; and her great grandchildren, Paisley Borden, Bryar Lovingood, Lincoln Lovingood, Ledger Lovingood, Adelaide Wood, Hunter Wood, Brayland Jumper, Arana Jumper, Tiara Welch and Robbie Lee Postell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Wilscott Baptist Church (376 Willscot Church Road, Murphy, North Carolina).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations in Corena's memory be made to Saint Judes Hospital.
