With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Willie James Rhynes of Charlotte, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 30, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Rhynes and Will Rhynes; and his siblings, Bessie (Grover), George (Pam) and L. W. (Mattie).
He is survived by: his friend Otis Redding; his son Michael Sevone Rhynes, Sr. (Crystal); his grandchildren, Morghyn Rhynes-Mosely (Wade) of Charlotte, NC., Michael Sevone Rhynes, Jr. (Camille) of Charlotte, NC., Corwin Rhynes of Charlotte, NC., Jahylen, Wade, Justus Mosley and Logan Rhynes; and his sister-in-law Pamela Rhynes.
Will donated all of the food for the event, there were dance contests and parades and a good time for all who attended.
