He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alphonso Estep and Mildred Estep; and his brother John David Estep. He is survived by: his wife Dolly Louise Estep; his daughters, Natalie Estep Ogden and Rachel Estep Cauble; his sons-in-law, Kenneth McDonald Ogden and Anthony Brian Cauble; his grandchildren, Samuel Thomas Ogden, Caroline Grace Ogden, Jacob Thomas Cauble and Noah Brian Cauble; and his siblings, Alice Blanche Richmond and James Alfonso Estep.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Provision Church (3020 New Salem Rd, Monroe, NC 28110). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
