He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Lee Gaddy and Vergie Dixon Gaddy; his spouse Gwenlynn Anne Beach Gaddy; his son Richard Allan Gaddy; and his siblings, Robert Gaddy, Edith Motley and Gladys Gaddy.

He is survived by: his children, William Ray "Bill" Gaddy, Jr. of Rock Hill and Debra Gaddy Hatley of Indian Trail, N. C.; and his daughter-in-law Peggy Gaddy of Lancaster. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren.
