He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joe Sawyer and Rosalee Carson; and his brother Joey Sawyer. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Hopper Sawyer; and his siblings, Roger Sawyer (Susan), Jay Sawyer (Beth) and Kaye Jackson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
