With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wanda Elaine Garrett of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, O'Donald Garrett and Mabel Garrett; and her siblings, Barbara G. Lanier, Willie Alvin, Hudson Lee and Lonnie Ralph.
She is survived by: her daughter Lavonia Renise Garrett; her grandsons, Mikhail Baldwin and Keiran Garrett; her siblings, O'Donald Garrett (Maggie) of Atlanta, GA, Sam Garrett (Margaret) of Charlotte, NC, Edwin Garrett of Phoenix, AZ, Rev. Harry A. Garrett of Dallas, TX, Thomas Garrett (Melissa) of Charlotte, NC and Gwen Garrett of Phoenix, AZ.; and her niece Rhonda Allgood. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Grier Funeral Service - Memorial Chapel (115 John McCarroll Ave, Charlotte, NC 28216). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
