She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton Ryle Adams and Virginia Sybil Gamble. She is survived by: her significant other Jerry Mitchell Snyder; her pet Pinky; and her uncle Dr. Marvin Livingston of Raleigh.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes gifts be made to the American Diabetes Association, the ASPCA or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
