She is survived by: her mother Annie Bell Thomas Hartis; her children, Kenny Faust, Becky Shaver, Phyllis Dempsey (Lee) and Wayne Faust (Angel); her grandchildren, Sara Thornton, Kyle Faust, Brett Thornton and Brian Dempsey; her stepgrandchildren, Amber Littlejohn and Damien Thomas; and her brothers, Roy L. Hartis Jr. (Joyce) and Fred Hartis (Anna).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Novant Hospice in Virginia's honor.
