She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles P. Brooks and Lois Ballinger Brooks. She is survived by: her children, Steve Brooks (Lisa) and Cindy Brooks Ivey; her grandchildren, Tyler Brooks, Jason Ivey and Alyssa Ivey; her sister Frances Brooks Welch; and her nieces and nephews, Isaac Welch III, Tosh Welch, Tovah Welch and Shimshon Welch. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
