She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustus Falls Shrum and Choyce Martin Shrum; her husband Horace Porter (Toot); and her siblings, Margaret Helms, Christine Smith, Claude, Lloyd, Weldon and Russell Shrum.
She is survived by: her children, Horace G. (Griggy), Ruth Porter, Wanda (Marc Towler) and Kathy (Ken Rice); her grandchildren, Carrie Porter Boyd, Stephen, Bryan Porter, Sarah O'Neill, Brock Towler, Kristina Watson, Alix Towler, Sophia Glass, Lindsey Rice Starnes, Jonathan, Justin and Megan Rice; her great grandchildren, Audrey Boyd, Carter Boyd, Miles Towler, Abel Towler, Mackenzie Starnes and Clara Rice; her siblings, Dot Williams and Ray Shrum (Lee); her sisters-in-law, Elsie Shrum and Doris Porter Crocker (Fred); and also, Mary Gwynn, Karen Kaufman and Susan Cline. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
