He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Freeman; his sons, Roger (Monica) and Jeff (Stacy); his grandchildren, Jordyn (Russell), Taylor (Irina), Aaron (Caroline) and Nic; and his brother Douglas Freeman (Shirley).

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the McEwen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at the Sharon Memorial Park (5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212).
