It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan (Field) Martin of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John D. Martin, Jr.; and her parents, Herbert Clinton Field, Jr. and Effie Fulcher Field. She is survived by: her children, John D. Martin, III of Charlotte, Liz Martin Peaseley (Walt) of Charlotte and Alice Martin Jordan (Tim) of Charlotte; her granddaughters, Lucy Martin of Charlotte, Faith Peaseley Marin (Angel) of Raleigh, NC, Ann Peaseley Graves (Luke) of Greenville, SC and Isabel Peaseley of Winston-Salem, NC; her great grandchildren, Amelia, William Marin and Levi Graves; and her brother Herbert Clinton "Piney" Field, III of Edenton, NC..
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McEwen Funeral Service Inc. (10500 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
