He is survived by: his wife Laura Scherrep; his son Richard Scherrep (Emily); his granddaughters, Emma and Laurlie; his father Frank Scherrep; his siblings, Julia Scherrep and Sam Scherrep; his sister-in-law Roberta; and his children, Cagney and Lacie. He is also survived by his extended family (aka the in-laws), numerous friends, former coworkers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Steve's memory to Charlotte Human Society or Habitat for Humanity.
