She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Buford Carpenter and Ruth May Queen Hayes; her husband George Richard Gelsinger; and her children, Gaye Greer and Bo Gelsinger.

She is survived by: her children, Jill Coleman (Terry), Ginger Hornbuckle (Tim) and Rick Gelsinger (Kim); her grandchildren, David Coleman (Sarah), Mandy Beaudry (Mark), Jonathan Coleman, Jennifer Hornbuckle (Patrick Lewalter), Alisha Pruette (David), Amy Greene (Josh) and Maggie Gelsinger; her great grandchildren, Caleb Hornbuckle, Savannah Pruette, Gavin Beaudry, Aubree Greene, Gabe Greene, Chloe Greene, Wesley Coleman and Emmett Coleman; and her sisters, Joann Moore and Barbara Irvin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
