With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Hornby Patterson of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Ruth Hornby departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ruth Hornby may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ruth Hornby leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Patterson of England. She is survived by: her sons, Ian Patterson (Anne) of Davidson, NC and Keith Patterson (Dawn) of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, MacKenzie, Hayley, Nicholas, Alec and Philip.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Woodlawn Community Fellowship (737 E Woodlawn Rd, Charlotte, NC 28209).
