With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy Edgar Holbrook Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Washington, District of Columbia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 15, 2024 at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his sister Patricia Frances Holbrook; and his father Roy Edgar Holbrook. He is survived by: his mother Evelyn Furr Holbrook; his sister Mary Holbrook Rice; his brother-in-law William Kline Rice, Jr.; his nephew William Kline Rice, III (Paul Christopher Rice); his niece Elizabeth Rice Kunze (Nina Katherine Rice); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Judah, Ezra, Micah, Evangeline, Josephine, Noah, Elina, Addie and Jonah.
