He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Tugman of Gastonia, NC; and his siblings, Mildred Brown King, George Brown, Christine Brown, Francis Brown Laubach, Harold Brown (Dick) and Gene Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Brown and Roger Dan Brown, Jr. (Danny); his daughter-in-law Cheryl; his daughter Leslie Brown Bargiel; his son-in-law John Bargiel; his grandsons, Roger Brown III (Heather), Gabriel Brown (Melissa), Elijah Brown (Morgan), Joseph Bargiel and Eric Bargiel (Gabrielle); and his great grandchildren, Emma, Hayleigh, Mason, Madelyn and Brayden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church at 2101 N. Heritage Street, Kinston, NC 28501.
