He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Barry and Marion Tyler Land. He is survived by: his wife Elba Argelia Land; his children, David Land (Jessica Shanks-Land), Charlene Logan (Eric Burnette) and William Land; his grandchildren, Kailin Logan, Megan Logan, Isaac Land and Saida Land; his brother Gustavo; his sister-in-law Janet Tyler; his nephew Pablo; and his niece Alexandra.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
