He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Belle Minnix and Junious Robert Cochrane; his significant other Ruth Lee Cochrane (Thompson); and his daughter Gwendolyn Cochrane Harris. He is survived by: his children, Robert Larry Cochrane (Dorothy) of Charlotte, NC, Major Charles Donald Cochrane (Delores) of Peoria, AZ, Sandra Faye Cochrane and Loretta C. Arnette (Willie); his grandchildren, Mario (Tamara), Marcellus (Nicole), Carlos, Maria (Brian, Sr.), Philip (Sarah), Charletta (Jacoury), Justin (Generra), RoShunta, Robert Jr. and Micah; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Sue Williams and Virginia Ross. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren.
He served as Trustee and sang in the church choir every Sunday, often leading, until the age of 93 when Covid emerged, limiting his attendance.
