She was predeceased by: her husband Marion Pete Brunson, Jr.; her daughters, Marion Daphne Brunson Merritt and Rebecca Anne Brunson; her granddaughter Rebecca Anne Merritt; and her siblings, Warren Porter, Jr. and Gail Lewis Abbott.
She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Brunson Climer; her son-in-law Steve Climer of Waxhaw; her son Daniel Peter Brunson; her daughter-in-law Julianne Gold Brunson of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Anna Katherine Brunson of Greensboro, David Merritt (Abigail) of Durham and Michael Merritt (Dana) of Raleigh; and her great grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, William Parker Merritt of Raleigh and Wyatt Merritt of Durham. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
