She was predeceased by: her parents, Brown Helms and Betty Sharpe Helms; and her grandson Steven Rice. She is survived by: her children, David Brooks (Ann), Dawn Rikard (Mark), Ricky Helms (Kim), Michele Nichols (Win), Shannon Anthony and Kelly Anthony; and her sister Connie Carter.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Woodlawn Chapel (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM and at 11:30 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery - West (4601 Freedom Dr, Charlotte, NC 28208).
