We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2025, at the age of 45, Rashan Lamar (Charlotte, North Carolina), born in New Haven, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Sydney Chavis; his brothers-in-law, Chris and Tremayne Ray; and his uncle Kevin Gaynor. He is survived by: his wife Marquitta Ray Minitee; his children, Amani Minitee, Jordan Sharper and Jabari Minitee; his fathers, Charles and Mark Gaynor (Marie); his mother-in-law Phyllis Ray; his siblings, Brandon Vaughn (Jonita), Lasha Meager, Ta-Tanisha Gaynor and Ra'anaa Gaynor; and his godsons, Legend and Zymetrius.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Calvary Christian Center (3001 Kilborne Dr, Charlotte, NC 28205). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
