He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lee Callahan and Ester Key Callahan; and his brothers, Bernie E. Callahan (Betty Sue), John W. Callahan, Roger L. Callahan, Larry Callahan and Ronald E. Callahan.
He is survived by: his wife Cordie M. Callahan of Charlotte; his children, Jeffrey Callahan (Cindy) of Oakboro, Ralph T. Callahan, Jr. (Anna) of Norwood, Audrey Martin (Rob) of Bryson City and Sheila Howell (Bruce) of Mt. Pleasant; his brother Gerald F. Callahan (Helen) of Mint Hill; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Callahan of Mooresville and Shirley Callahan Lathe of Stanley. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
