He was predeceased by: his father Robert "Cletus" Kendall; his stepfather Henry I. Rush; and his brothers, Charles (Charlie Foxx), Tony, Vernon and Robert Kendall (Robbie).
He is survived by: his mother Blanch G. Rush; his wife Dr. Cheryl L. Brown; his children, Mackenzie, Ellington, Zachary and Haile, Sr.; his siblings, Sheila, Lorraine, Kyndall, Timothy, Jamie, Scottie and Shawn; his grandson Haile Ingram, Jr.; and his aunt Georgette.
