He was predeceased by: his sister Helen Kellicut. He is survived by: his wife Dia; his children, Jett Steiger (Chelsea) of Los Angeles, Matt Akins (Scottie) of Charlotte and Lyall Moore (Will) of High Point; his grandchildren, Maggie, Wyatt and Evelyn; and his siblings, Louise Heizer and Ede Seaman.

Due to Covid there is no plan for a gathering beyond immediate family at this time.
