He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hurston Booth and Dorothy Blair Booth; and his stepson Neal Monroe Chastain. He is survived by: his friend Jim Gardner; his sons, George Edward Booth (Martha) of Rock Hill, SC, Bryson Booth Jenkins (Michael) of Trenton, NC, James Fountain Booth (Joy) of Glen Allen, VA and Alan Hewell Chastain (Pamela) of Spring Hill, TN.; his grandchildren, Samuel Yates Booth (Rhianna), Joseph Blair Booth (Addie), George Peyton Jenkins, Meredith Jenkins Werline (Tyler), Layne Bryson Jenkins, Hilary Booth Mackey (Evan), Lindsey Booth Price (Adam), Lauren Faith Booth, Mallory Ryan Luster (Brent), Laura Elizabeth Glaab (Mike), Mac Monroe Chastain (Kelley), Olivia Ann Chastain (Sam), Evan Neal Chastain, Alec Jackson Long (Katie), Krista Grace Long and Jack Allen Long; and his great grandchildren, Ellie, Yates, Calvin, Alex, Theo, Emilia, Weston, Sadie, Everly, Ethan and Declan.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New City Church (2500 Carmel Rd, Charlotte, NC 28226). Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
