He is survived by: his children, Sarah Englisch (Torsten) of France, Geoffrey Englisch of Indonesia and Summer Eubanks of North Carolina; and his siblings, Terry Shiels of North Carolina, Colleen Shiels of Canada, Kelly Shiels (Dixie) of North Carolina, MaryPat Nagel (Kurt) of Illinois and Kevin Shiels (Susanna) of South Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
