It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Schumer of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frank Weixel and Bernadine Weixel; her pet Molly; her grandchildren, Jack, Collin and Caroline Scanlan; her husband Barry Schumer; her children, Lindsay Scanlan (Sean), Justin Schumer (Sam Kruse) and Kyle Schumer (Rob Young); and her grandchild Lindsay Scanlan (Jack).
