Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Jo Lucey of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 82, on February 20, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph L. Lane and Helen M. Lane; her husband Richard A.; her daughter Margaret; her sister Barbara; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy, Peggy and Jack.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy (Joe), Kevin (Amanda), Jim (Hayley), Danny and Kelly; her grandchildren, Christopher (Nicole), Stephen (Bella), Brian, Laura, Davis, James, Mary Elizabeth, Sean and Evelyn; her great grandchildren, Illarion, Theodore and Dean; and her siblings, Ginny, Tom (Pam), Jim and John (Patti).
A vigil service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the McEwen Funeral Service (10500 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:15 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Church (6828 Old Reid Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Church in memory of Mary Jo Lucey.
