She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wesley Wheeler and Thelma Hyatt Wheeler; and her husband James Donald Pettigrew. She is survived by: her sons, James D. Pettigrew Jr. (Joyce) and Gregory E. Pettigrew; and her grandchildren, Lauren Pettigrew and Jaime Pettigrew.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Stallings Church (1115 Stallings Rd, Matthews, NC 28104). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sharon Memorial Park (5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212).
