She was predeceased by: her parents, William Burch and Mary Belle Burch; and her husband Henry Frank Alston. She is survived by: her sons, Mark Alston (Judy) and Steve Alston (Teressa); and her nephew Robert Cornatzer (Margie). She is also survived by six grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

Donations in her memory may be made to Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church, 1117 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203.
