He was predeceased by: his parents, James Anderson Oakes and Jo Ann W. Oakes; his uncle Dale Waterman; and his aunt Linda O. Fuller. He is survived by: his sister Amber Oakes Woodward; his nephews, Logan D. Smith (Jourdan) and Colin J. Woodward; his aunt Linda Waterman Weatherly (Tom) of Uniontown, OH; and his uncle David C. Oakes (Brenda) of Roxboro, NC. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
