Baker; her siblings, Doreatha Wade, Ann Baker, Minnie Jean Morrow, Elizabeth Mason (Lib), Susie Rickett, James Hamilton, Thomas Hamilton (Pete), Venice Hamilton (VL), Sylvester Hamilton (Syl) and Howard Chambers; and her great grandchildren, Antonio Baker, JaQuarious Baker (JQ), Dashawn Baker and Kenneyon M. Baker.
She is survived by: her close friend James Johnson (JJ); her children, Larry J. Baker, Jerome Baker (Alvin), Harry J. Baker (Sue) of Charlotte, Leon Baker, Sr. (Barbara) of Reidsville, Yvonne Baker Chesson of Virginia Beach, Peggy Baker Given (Michael) and Colethia Baker Anderson (Gary) of Charlotte; and her siblings, Ethel Blackmon of Charlotte, Mary Alston of Charlotte, Jerry Hamilton (Alice) of Charlotte and Linda Bowman (Ellison) of Charlotte.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the A. E. Grier & Sons (2310 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
