With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lourdes Catalina Burns of Charlotte, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 4, 2024 at the age of 74. She was predeceased by: her parents, Obdulio Garcia and Estella Garcia; and her son Paul. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Burns of Fort Mill, SC; her son Peter Burns of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Beaux Victoria and Thomas James; her daughter Mary-Michael Burns Mull (Matthew Mull) of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Asher Paul and Harris Williams; her siblings, Mary Bueno of Raleigh, NC and Albert Garcia of Lafayette, LA.; and her cousin Eduardo Fernandez-Vila of Santa Fe, NM..
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church (292 Munn Rd E, Fort Mill, SC 29715).
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
