She was predeceased by: her parents, Liston Henderson and Rotha Pierce Henderson; her husband Max Benton; and her brothers, Marvin Henderson and Harvey Henderson (Birdie Bond).
She is survived by: her children, Donna Elaine Alley and Charles Brown (Donna); her grandchildren, Kenneth Knight, Karen Brown, Timothy Brown and Michael Brown; her great grandchildren, Gabriel Knight, Tyler Brown, Parker Brown, Cambell Brown, Savannah Brown and Nicholas Brown; and her sister Sadie Sparks. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members who called her grandmother, other relatives and friends.
