With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lester Monroe Chinnis Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on November 13, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Letha Chinnis; his daughter Donna Matthews; his parents, Lester Chinnis and Bertha Lee Chinnis; and his sister Patsy Chinnis.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Carroll (Linda), Martha Melvin (Carley), Diane Nix (Larry), Connie Carroll and Wanda Towe (Ken); his brother Jimmy Chinnis (Mona); and his nephew Scott Chinnis (Margaret) of Rome, GA.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.
